Newsom isn’t a far left democrat. He cut housing for homeless and climate control by several billion and cut taxes. That’s a far right concept. And guess what, it was a good idea. California has less homeless per capita than New York and almost half the homeless of Washington DC. It’s not as serious as it’s made out to be… When you represent the number as a whole compared to other states, it’s tremendous… But when you look at homeless per 10,000 people it’s around 40. In DC it’s 75. Californias economy is also top 10 in the world… yes world. Meaning their economy is bigger than Germanys. His policies aren’t what ruined California, it’s the hysteria of people moving there that did. It’s overpopulated and unsustainable. He’s doing a fine job with the mess he’s inherited.

If you don't like collectivism, you should advocate limited government. Less power and money to the bureaucrats. If people are allowed to keep the money they made, they will stay more powerful to resist a potential future collectivist government. The majority of the people who were killed in the past centuries were killed by people who were employed by collectivist regimes. Hitler, Mao and Stalin killed more people than than the entire population of California. If you're afraid of a potential evil government, the cure is to keep government as small as possible.
